The best Easter eggs and edibles on the market !

I know some people with allergies, intolerances and special diets find it hard to find Easter eggs so half of this post caters for them. The other half is for what I consider the best edible Easter treats and luxury eggs on the market.

Part 1 - special diets

1. The Best Vegan or Lactose intolerant Egg-
A. Budget-

Divine 70% Fair-trade Dark, Egg- Suitable for Dairy free and those who like dark chocolate.
Buy In Oxfam. I like this better than the 'milk' vegan eggs as they taste quite cheap and this is nice and rich but If you have a little one, choices and moo free, are more child friendly. £3.50

B. Blow it
Extra Large Family Easter Egg - Dark Raspberry Splat

Extra large dark chocolate and Raspberry egg from Cocoa Loco
This family sized egg is handmade and looks very tasty! It also has dark chocolate buttons inside
buy on website £29.99

2. The best gluten free egg.

A. Budget-
This Thornton's bunny is a good size and only £5.00, most eggs in Thornton's are gluten free

B. Blow it-
Super Thick Half Dark and Half Milk Chocolate Egg with Truffles
This milk egg from Montezumas contains yummy milk and dark truffles. £17.99

3. Treats for those who do not eat chocolate, such as my auntie.

A. Budget-
Lebkuchen Hen
Betty's tea rooms sell, Easter biscuits, cakes and more, above are lebuchken hens, £3.90 Haribo also does some Easter stuff but nothing vegetarian.

B. Blow it -

Mini easter egg biscuit tin- Biscuiteers £30, biscuiteers also sell gingerbread men, easter bunny biscuits and large easter cakes which can be personalised.

4. Diabetic easter eggs
Most people think that people who cannot consume too much sugar cannot have easter eggs but they are wrong! Sugar free and less sugar more cocoa eggs are suitiable for all.

A. Budget -
Thornton's No Added sugar egg. Sweet milky chocolate with a selection of caramels. £6.50
B. Blow it-
Serious Dark Wrap Egg Sandwich

Hotel Chocolat, less sugar more cocoa, cocoa nib wrap. £8
Choices, Cavalier and Balance also sell chocolate in Holland and Barrat.

Part 2- Luxury and fun eggs

1. The Kiddy Pleaser
MUM, MUM, MUM, I want one!
Satisfy the whining child with one of these, a friend took her kids to choose their own egg and one came with a 99p kinnerton egg while the other chose a £14.99 giant Cadbury egg. I see arguments when one finishes first.....

A. Budget- Thorntons little bunny egg with personalisation

B. Blow it!-

Slatterys luxury chocolate Easter figures. Online Slatterys easter chocolates range from £5.95 (slab) to £14.99 Reasonable for a children's blow it! (duck) but instore they have a wider range including giant eggs, mini eggs and even realistic chocolate. dinosaur eggs. The chocolate is very good!

2. The Lady in your life...
Women mainly love chocolate, spoil them.....

A. Budget-
PRESTAT Salted Caramel egg- £14.99 Ok, Ok its a lot for a budget but I did say to spoil them and this is a classic egg, it also comes in a champagne truffle variety said to be a less costly dupe of Charbonnel Et Walker's offerings. If your wallet won't stretch then go to Marks and Spencer where the luxury eggs start at about £6. And look impressive.

B. Blow it!- Now we are talking
Booja Booja Around Midnight Espresso Truffle Egg, Large 138g
This Booja Booja egg is a hand painted trinket box filled with organic fairtrade espresso chocolate truffles and sets you back a total of £25 which is ok. Since the box lasts forever when the 12 large chocolates have been devoured.

3. The Animal lover-

A. Budget

Hope and Greenwood Keepsake animal egg. From Ocado this is £6.99 but You can get the animals alone for £3.50 and skip the girly packaging.

B. Blow it!
Milk Chocolate Badger  or Medium Milk Chocolate Gloucester Old Spot Pig Egg

This chocolate Badger is £20 and the pig eggs range from £13 to £20, but don't be led to think everything at Betty's is expensive as it is £4.95 for 4 lambs, baby pigs, or a white chocolate egg with 2 small bunnies!  The detail and quality is incredible!

4. The Major Chocoholic!

A. Budget-
Chokablok Chocolate Extremist Egg 150G
The Chocolate extremist, brownies, malt chocolate balls, dark chocolate and milk chocolate studded throughout a egg shaped slab. Tesco.

B. Blow it!
Rocky Road to Caramel Extra Thick Easter Egg
Rocky Road to Caramel, extra thick egg by Hotel Chocolat. 40% milk and caramel chocolate studded with brownies, rice crispiness and more chocolate with a huge variety of truffles and Easter chocolate shapes. Probably one of the most sophisticated and chocolatey eggs on the high street. £27 pounds and large enough to share.

I hope you like my list, Considering most big supermarket eggs cost £7.00- £10 and have bigger packaging than innards and do not taste and look that good, I think I did well. I know pound land sell eggs but grown ups probably would appreciate a bit more effort. If its a character egg your kids are after then fine but if you would like to get something special Slatteries and other independent chocolatiers sell lollies and chocolate bits with rice paper hello kitties dora the explorers and spongebobs on. I like a bit of Cadbury myself though, nothing wrong with a creme egg, but I prefer some H C or Booja Booja once a year.

Lots of love and last minute shopping

Concerts and more...

Just a general update on me and my life, Been to a lot of concerts and gigs recently, so I decided to do a review....

Justin Bieber Believe - Not as good as last time but seriously incredible! This guy knows how to put on a show...  Fireworks, paper cannons, cat walk and wings. The interactive videos tied in with the concert perfectly. This concert was full of back flips and surprises.

Support act rating 8/10  Carly Rae Jepson was really fun to watch and really engaged the audience including some participation. I have never been a Cody Simpson fan but everyone else seemed really happy with him. Maybe Its just not me. The highlight was Good time as I love that song, sadly I had to settle for Cody and Carly singing as Owl City did not appear. But ultimately an improvement from the smith kids and a rather bland British girl band in Never Say never UK.

Staging rating 10/10  Really incredible, most songs told a story which I love in big gigs! And Justin swam.... weird I know but a swimming Bieber is always a nice sight. Lots of height and depth on the staging and lots of coming round the audience through, wings, a catwalk and a crane thingy like last time <3 I could fully appreciate It being in FLOOR BLOCK A, by the catwalk!

Music rating 9/10 I had to give Justin's musical abilities a nice score- I loved the piano playing. I was disappointed, about the fact more new songs were not showcased... Justin's growing up and people need to get that. Distinct lack of Maria, I love that song (its about that pregnant bitch ) :)

Star rating- 8/10 Couldn't give my bieb's full marks but he needs a break! So he tried drugs if you read the lower reviews your know that frankly I don't care, as 'Hannah Montanna' once said "every body makes mistakes" and I'm sure you all Know Know what she's talking about..... If a tween gets It, the papers should. And being late... who takes a 5 year old to a concert aside from cbeebies live or disney on ice . Talk about #letkidsbekids! He apparently is not to blame and it was one concert, everyone's a bit of a twit sometimes even Justin Bieber.

One Direction- I didn't expect to rate this concert that highly but was pleasantly surprised. I have never seen the boys in person before and It was Incredible! They had a funny prank video playing when they got changed which I loved. They also had a ton of audience involvement through twitter! Also the screaming was not as bad as at Bieber probably due to the 5 steps of tiering. (5 boys). No backflips but hey, Zayn fails at the Macarena.

Support act rating- 4/10 for Camryn and 7/10 for 5 seconds of summer. I gave 5sos a 7 as they're music was nice but they weren't that cute and Camryn said they would be and I have her a low score as she was tone deaf! :)

Staging Rating- 9/10 AMAZING! They came out to a mini stage on a giant plank to talk to the back! and the colours and lazers were real pretty. Did I mention the giant beach-ball balloons... Oh Yes....!

Music Rating- 9/10 Surprising!, I heard rumours about 1D being bad live, but they were fab, And Niall played his guitar... :) And the Comic relief single was included! Love it!

Star Rating 9/10 (nobody's perfect) I love them all! Zayn is so cute, Niall is so funny and Irish, Louis is hilarious too, and Liam is so sweet, Oh and Harry. Harry is just Harry. I had to mark them down one due to Harry's reputation. I don't give a flying pig about anyone's reps but it seems the media do so hey... Harry seems to like to sleep around or did previously at least (with teens and cougars :) and be a bit of a rebel when It comes to partying. And the others probably are not saints either. It does not make them bad examples. I mean did you see them on Comic Relief! <3

Frankie Cocozza- A bit of a contrast here due to the fact that this gig was in a small licensed venue. So yeah I saw Frankie at Academy 3 in Manchester University Students Union. It was actually a nice night even if it was a little mad... I really rate Frankie's new music. Great dancing gig.

Support act rating -8/10. The first warm up act was great her name was Ruby Ann Patterson and she had some great music and played the keyboard. She comes from Manchester and I would recommend listening to her. The 2nd act lowered the score. The Robin Pierce Band had one of those very loud drummers which just went through me, the music was ok but the vocals were not so good. I would still rate them ok, If they didn't bring some drunken guys with them. They were quite old guys compared to everyone else at the concert and chucked loads of pints over everyone's heads!

Staging rating- Not Applicable. ( Small venue), Nice lighting though and audience participation through crowd surfing. ;)

Star rating 7/10 This guy has an pretty awful reputation but seems to actually be quite sweet and funny. He is a rebel but hey, On an interview he said he refused heroin. (gotta be a good thing) If you don't know his story Frankie was kicked off the X-factor for snorting some Cocaine, but it was a long time ago and I am impressed that with no support he managed to get into music. He genuinely cares about his fans who stick by him. And he also does admit to not having respect for girls who throw themselves at him, he may say yes but :) they would know if there are no dates it equals a one night stand.... Once again Nobody is perfect. I think he is awesome so yeah! Honesty is a good quality. He even contradicts himself by saying swearing does not make you any bigger of a person... Amazing.

Summary- So everybody, I really loved the concerts they were all lovely in different ways!

Making a change... Barbie Dress Outfit post

I have recently become involved in some more council related activities which led me to standing in my local UK youth parliament elections to attempt to get a position. I went up against 15 other candidates! There were 16 in total. Last night we got the results. I got 2nd place in votes!, so I am going to be 1st deputy to my friend Emily. Another girl the lovely Laraib got 3rd so she is 2nd deputy. 3 girls! Go girl power. x

My outfit was not really inspired In anyway apart from the fact I had a new dress so I wanted to wear it! I wanted a nice belt for it but couldn't really find one I liked so watch this space. I wore pink comfort trainers as I have a recently healed blister on my toe so didn't dare wear heels and my converse laces needed threading so hey, trainers it was! I'm young I can get away with it. I wore a headband and lightly curled my hair with some styling spritz and my magic wand.

My makeup was just ELF concealer and loose powder, followed by Accessorize grey marble eye shadow on my lids and Miss Sporty mini me brown eye liner under my lower lashes. I went for natural lips lust leaving my Body Shop lip tint on.

Isn't the Barbie dress cute!, I got mine in a pop up shop in Manchester but a friend reports to me that Ebay sells similar.
